🎉 Start Your Improv Journey with Improv 101! 🎉 This four-week class is your gateway to the world of improv, and no experience is needed. It's all about fun, learning, and making new friends! What to Expect: 🌟 Learn the Basics: Dive into the core principles of improv. 😆 Have a Blast: Enjoy easy, fun games that boost confidence and creativity. 🗣️ Improve Communication: Interactive exercises will enhance your skills. 🤝 Make Friends: Connect with fellow beginners and share lots of laughs. Why Take Improv? Boost Confidence: Feel more comfortable speaking in front of others. Think on Your Feet: Improve your quick thinking and problem-solving skills. Enhance Creativity: Unlock new ways of thinking and expressing yourself. Teamwork: Learn to collaborate and support others in a fun environment. Improv 101 is a must for everyone, starting at Kismet. Once you complete Improv 101, you can move on to Improv 201. Instructor: DEEJ Daniel James Shafer (DJ or deej) is a multi-talented artist who lives in Providence, Rhode Island. He is an actor, improviser, music producer, and teacher. Deej received his acting BFA with a minor in musical theater from Michigan State University. After that, he spent three years professionally living and working in Chicago, IL. He regularly performs on Kismet Improv's HOUSE PARTY in Pawtucket, performing with Hot Popsicle, The Pop Hearts and Hot Town. Deej is thrilled to have the opportunity to teach improv. He believes that early exposure to the arts can positively impact one's confidence, growth, and overall sense of self. He is eager to share his passion for the arts with everyone involved.

Kismet Improv brings live improv and sketch comedy to the great people of Pawtucket, R.I. every weekend. With a series of rotating shows, Kismet's commitment to keeping audiences rolling laughing has quickly made them a mainstay in Rhode Island's growing comedy hub. We also offer improv and comedy classes for all levels.

Our performers and teachers have trained nationwide. We proudly feature alumni from Second City, iO, Upright Citizens Brigade, ImprovBoston, Improv Asylum, Union Comedy, Wage House and the Providence Improv Guild.
