🎉 Start Your Improv Journey with Improv 101! 🎉 This four-week class is your gateway to the world of improv, and no experience is needed. It's all about fun, learning, and making new friends! What to expect: 🌟 Learn the basics: Dive into the core principles of improv. 😆 Have a blast: Enjoy easy, fun games that boost confidence and creativity. 🗣️ Improve communication: Interactive exercises will enhance your skills. 🤝 Make friends: Connect with fellow beginners and share lots of laughs. Why Take Improv? Boost confidence: Feel more comfortable speaking in front of others. Think on your feet: Improve your quick thinking and problem-solving skills. Enhance creativity: Unlock new ways of thinking and expressing yourself. Teamwork: Learn to collaborate and support others in a fun environment. Improv 101 is a must for everyone starting at Kismet. Once you complete Improv 101, you can move on to Improv 201 or our other courses. Instructor: Brad Rohrer Brad Rohrer is a founding performer, longtime coach, and teacher at Kismet Improv, bringing nearly 20 years of experience to the Rhode Island improv scene. You can see Brad performing and coaching longform improv every week at Kismet's House Party. Additionally, he co-hosts the Funbearable Podcast and regularly performs at the Comedy Connection. Brad trained at the legendary iO theater in Chicago, IL. In his introductory improv classes, Brad covers "Yes, And" fundamentals to foster spontaneous creativity and collaboration. He also emphasizes the importance of listening and responding authentically, ensuring that scenes are dynamic and engaging. With a series of rotating shows, Kismet's commitment to keeping audiences rolling laughing has quickly made them a mainstay in Rhode Island's growing comedy hub. We also offer improv and comedy classes for all levels.

Our performers and teachers have trained nationwide. We proudly feature alumni from Second City, iO, Upright Citizens Brigade, ImprovBoston, Improv Asylum, Union Comedy, Wage House and the Providence Improv Guild.
